Start with the drum and payout conditions

A physical UAV fiber drum is selected by the aircraft and the payout conditions. Data-rate or interface requirements may matter to the wider system, but they should not obscure the first engineering decision: whether the drum can be mounted and paid out safely on the target platform.

Inputs for a useful first quote

Send the UAV model, required fiber length, maximum acceptable drum weight, available mounting space, payout direction, maximum flight speed, and expected quantity. Add any known fiber specification, tensile requirement, temperature range, or route constraint that could change the mechanical selection.

Once those inputs are clear, the customer and supplier can decide whether the next step is a model comparison, sample, pilot run, or platform-level test. Keep any wider signal or data-system verification as a separate responsibility from the physical drum fit.
